Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: March 2026

Our Core Commitment

Care4Caregivers is committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party. The information you provide is used solely to serve you — to send you the resources you requested, respond to your messages, and notify you about updates relevant to your caregiving journey.

1. Who We Are

Care4Caregivers is a personal website operated by Nansie Chapman Douglas, an author and consultant dedicated to supporting family caregivers — particularly those caring for loved ones with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

We only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us through the following forms on this website:

Contact Form

We collect your name, email address, and the message you send. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Free E-Book Downloads

We collect your first name and email address to deliver the requested resource and, with your permission, send you occasional updates about new resources and the memoir release.

Memoir Pre-Order Form

We collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and the number of copies you wish to pre-order. This information is used to notify you when the memoir becomes available and to process your order.

We do not collect any payment information directly. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your contact form messages
  • To deliver the free e-book or resource you requested
  • To notify you when the memoir is available for purchase (if you requested this)
  • To send you occasional updates about new resources, blog posts, or events — only if you opted in

We will never use your information for any purpose other than those listed above without your explicit consent.

4. We Do Not Share Your Information

✅ We do not sell your personal information.
✅ We do not rent your personal information.
✅ We do not trade or share your personal information with any third-party companies, advertisers, or organizations.

The only circumstance under which your information might be disclosed is if we are required to do so by law (for example, in response to a valid court order or legal process). Even in such cases, we will disclose only the minimum information required.

Our website uses a third-party email delivery service (Resend) solely to send transactional emails — such as your download confirmation or contact form reply. This service processes your email address only to deliver those messages and is contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.

5. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. Access to collected information is restricted to Nansie Chapman Douglas and is not accessible to the general public.

6. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected — for example, to respond to your message or to notify you about the memoir release. If you ask us to delete your information at any time, we will do so promptly.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information at any time
  • Opt out of any future communications from us

To exercise any of these rights, simply send an email to [email protected] with your request. We will respond within 5 business days.

8. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of this website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
